Volunteer Opportunities
Set Up
Looking for 6 strong Volunteers to come and help us set up Canopies, tables and chairs, recycle stations and whatever else needs to get done by 11am! Great job for older kids!
Time Commitment: - 9:00-11am - 6 people
Information Booth
Where can I buy a baby artichoke? Are all these vendors organic? Where is the bathroom? Bookstore? These are just a few of the questions the volunteers at the Information Booth answer each Sunday. If you want to learn the inner workings of the market, hang out, have fun, and meet people, this is the job for you!
Skills Required: Excellent customer service skills, positive can-do attitude, a great smile, the talent of being courteous to all people and the ability to remember facts and information. Some handling of money may be required. Written material, maps and weekly updates are provided.
Minimum Time Commitment: Two hours, 1 person per shift
Market Greeters
Do you like to say Hello to folks? We are looking for someone to Welcome people into the Market and then Thank them for shopping when they go. We provide you with a volunteer Market apron, name tag, and you are good to go!
Skills Required: Excellent customer skills, positive attitude, a great smile, and courteous. Minimum Time Commitment: Two hours, 1 person per shift
Kids Table
Help at Kids Table with craft or project of the day
Events Booth
Help at Events Booth with sampling or display table of the day. Food Handlers Permit a huge plus if sampling day!
Clean Up
Again, we need 6 strong volunteers to come and help us to put away the Canopies, tables and chairs, recycle stations and whatever else needs to be done.
Minimum Time Commitment: Two hour shift at 3pm. 6 people
Waste Management
This is a very important job. We are looking for volunteers to help our customers place items into proper receptacles. Our goal is ZERO WASTE - we can do this with your help!
Minimum Time Commitment: Two hours, 2 people per shift
