National Charity League (NCL): The Evergreen Chapter of the National Charity League is a philanthropic organization that fosters mother-daughter relationships and is committed to community service. Mothers & daughters volunteer together.

​National League of Young Men, Inc. (NLYM) is a non-profit organization for young men in grades 9-12; this structured program for mothers and their sons promotes the development of young men into community leaders through leadership involvement, charitable and community service, cultural experiences, and protocol education. NLYM volunteers support market-day operations.

​St. Monica Catholic Church "Friends of the Needy" For over forty years, St. Monica Friends of the Needy (FON) has been feeding the homeless. FON partners with the MI Farmers Market (MIFM) to deliver fresh produce to local food banks and shelters via the MIFM gleaning program.

Key Areas Where Adult Volunteers Can Make an Impact: We are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to contribute to the following areas (number of volunteers in parenthesis):

Information Booth (2): Be the face of the Farmers Market by answering questions, providing directions, help distribute Market Bucks and Market Buck Vendor signage and do other miscellaneous Information Booth tasks, as needed. Hours 10am to 2pm on market days.

Volunteer Coordinator (1): Recruit & coordinate our volunteers and their volunteer shifts. Weekly commitment of 1-3 hours/week from home.

Volunteer Grant Writer (1): Skilled grant writer to help secure funding for the MI Farmers Market. Research, identify, write and submit applications. Work from home.

Volunteer Morning Traffic Coordinators (2): Manage and Control Load In and Set Up Vendor vehicle traffic. Weekly Sunday morning market day commitment of approximately 2 hours.

Volunteer Afternoon Traffic Coordinators (2): Manage and Control Load Out and Breakdown Vendor vehicle traffic. Weekly Sunday afternoon market day commitment of approximately 90 minutes.

Attendance Count Coordinators (2): Take regular attendance counts. Weekly Sunday market day commitment of approximately 4 hours during market hours.

Vendor Parking Coordinator (1): Coordinate and manage vendor parking. Weekly Sunday market day morning commitment of approximately 2 hours.

MIFM Adult Volunteer Positions: The Mercer Island Farmers Market is looking to create a strong market day committee of dedicated adult volunteers who wish to help the market thrive. These roles are voluntary; the commitment is roughly 2-4 hours every week during the market season.
